SlateSafety™ Wins 2023 Industrial Hygiene Award for Heat Stress Protection

Industrial Hygiene Awards 2023

March 29, 2023

SlateSafety’s BAND V2 won the Industrial Hygiene Award for Heat Stress Protection. The BAND V2 was among 25 products in 21 categories named winners in Occupational Health and Safety’s (OH&S) third annual Industrial Hygiene Awards.

The Industrial Hygiene Awards “honors the outstanding product development achievements of health and safety manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve industrial hygiene,” according to ohsonline.com. All products were evaluated by a panel of anonymous and qualified judges to win this award.
The BAND V2 is an arm-worn wearable for physiological monitoring that assesses worker safety. By enabling organizations to monitor and set thresholds that trigger real-time alerts, teams can empower their workforce to help prevent heat illnesses and injuries before they happen.

“This means a lot,” said SlateSafety CTO Tyler Sisk. “To win the Heat Stress Protection category provides validation that we’re doing something special with our innovative approach to prevent heat stress.”

SlateSafety has previous wins for the 2022 Industrial Hygiene Award, IoT – Connected Devices and for the 2021 Inaugural Industrial Hygiene Award in the same category.
