SlateSafety is seeking an account manager to join our fast growing team. As a small and nimble startup, we need someone curious enough to ask questions and motivated enough to solve them. The account manager will work closely with existing customers while also closing new high powered deals. They will work closely with senior management to develop strategic goals and will touch many facets of the business.
With a primary focus on heavy industrial verticals (ex. nuclear, oil and gas, energy etc… ), the successful candidate has experience with industry vernacular and knows what it takes to identify key decision makers to tell the SlateSafety story.

Duties and responsibilities
- Perform account management activities for premium customers
- Maintain, service and grow existing portfolio accounts
- Travel to customer sites within US as needed to support business objectives
- Develop and undertake tactical market initiatives
- Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
- Provide input in strategic planning and launching of new products or services
- Maintain comprehensive opportunity profiles and accurately forecast revenue
- Prospect, qualify and close new opportunities in heavy industrial verticals, including Nuclear, Chemicals, Manufacturing, and Oil & Gas
Qualifications
- 2+ years of business development, technical sales or consulting for IoT, Enterprise software or SaaS solutions
- Knowledge of operations in the industrial IoT sector
- Demonstrated relationship management and consultative selling aptitude
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and G Suite
- Entrepreneurial spirit
Preferred Qualifications
- Safety qualifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIT), Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Knowledge of OSHA, ACGIH
- IT certifications such as MCSE, VCP or CCNA/CCNP a plus
- Possess curiosity and a thirst for knowledge
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exhibit a customer centric focus
- Any unique skills
