About Us
In early 2016 we brought a small team together to make a difference in the first responder community. Through close connections in the fire service we saw a need to deliver real-time data for real-time decision making to those that are putting their lives at risk. We designed, developed and brought to market a simple to use Heads-Up-Display (HUD) that could be directly mounted to the faceplate of firefighters. Our company was born and it’s original name was ‘FireHUD’.
With the success of the BAND V1 and V2, we’ve seen growth in other areas where the work is physically intense and it’s important to know how large groups are doing in real-time. We’ve extended the mission and grown into our current company persona, SlateSafety.
The idea of SlateSafety came about as a way to communicate the tough nature our products endure and the environmental versatility they have. Nowadays worldwide; first responders, industrial workers and the military trust SlateSafety to deliver rugged, easy-to-use solutions to prevent injuries from heat stress, overexertion, and lapses in situational awareness.
Since our beginning we’ve evolved with our customers. We’ve changed products and names and faces, but we’re still the same group that got together for the original mission – helping our customers keep a clean slate of safety incidents.
